1. Overview
This Privacy Policy explains how SmartCast IPTV ("SmartCast", "we", "us" or "our") collects, uses and protects information when you visit smartcaastv.com (the "Website") or contact us to ask about, trial or purchase our streaming service. By using the Website you agree to the practices described here. If you do not agree, please stop using the Website.
We keep our data collection intentionally small. The Website is a static information site: it has no user accounts, no comment sections and no on-site checkout. Most interactions with us happen through WhatsApp, which is a separate service with its own privacy policy.
2. Information we collect
Information you give us
When you message us on WhatsApp to request a free trial, choose a plan or get support, we receive the details you choose to share, such as your name, WhatsApp phone number, country, the device you use, the plan you want, and payment confirmation details (for example a transfer reference or screenshot). We only ask for what we need to activate your service and answer your questions.
Information collected automatically
When you browse the Website, your browser and our hosting provider automatically generate standard technical data, including:
- IP address and approximate location (country or city level)
- Browser type, operating system and device type
- Pages visited, time spent, referring website and date and time of the visit
The Website also checks your approximate country from your IP address so that prices can be displayed in the right currency (PKR for visitors in Pakistan, USD elsewhere). This check is used only to choose which price to show.
Information we do not collect
We do not collect card numbers or banking passwords on this Website, and we do not knowingly collect sensitive personal data such as health, religion or government ID numbers.
3. How we use information
- To respond to your messages, set up trials and activate or renew subscriptions
- To provide technical support and troubleshoot streaming or app issues
- To confirm payments and handle refund requests
- To show prices in the correct currency and keep the Website working properly
- To understand how the Website is used so we can improve its content and performance
- To display advertising through Google AdSense (see Section 5)
- To prevent fraud, abuse and misuse of our service, and to comply with legal obligations
We do not sell your personal information.
4. Cookies and similar technologies
Cookies are small text files stored on your device. The Website itself uses minimal browser storage for convenience (for example remembering that you closed a pop-up during your session). Third parties whose services appear on the Website, including Google, may also set cookies or use similar technologies such as web beacons and local storage.
You can control cookies in your browser settings, including blocking or deleting them. Please note that disabling cookies may affect how some parts of the Website, such as advertising, behave.
5. Google AdSense and advertising
We use Google AdSense to display advertisements on the Website. Please read this section carefully, as it describes third-party data use:
- Google, as a third-party vendor, uses cookies to serve ads on this Website.
- Google's use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads to you based on your visit to this Website and/or other websites on the Internet.
- Google may use cookies, device identifiers and similar technologies to measure ad performance, limit how often you see the same ad, and, where permitted, personalise ads.
- Where required by law (for example in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom and Switzerland), personalised advertising and non-essential cookies are used only with your consent.
You can opt out of personalised advertising by visiting Google Ads Settings. You can also opt out of some third-party vendors' use of cookies for personalised advertising by visiting www.aboutads.info. To learn how Google uses information from sites that use its services, see How Google uses information from sites or apps that use our services, and Google's Privacy Policy.
6. Sharing and third parties
We share information only where necessary and only with:
- Service providers that host the Website, deliver fonts and files, or help us operate our service (for example web hosting and Google Fonts).
- Advertising partners, namely Google AdSense, as described above.
- Payment providers such as banks, Easypaisa and PayPal, which process your payment under their own terms and privacy policies.
- WhatsApp (Meta), when you contact us through it.
- Authorities, if we are legally required to disclose information or need to protect our rights and the safety of others.
The Website links to third-party sites and services (for example WhatsApp). We do not control and are not responsible for their privacy practices.
7. Data retention and security
We keep support and subscription conversations only as long as needed to provide the service, handle disputes and meet legal or accounting requirements. Server log data is kept for a limited period and then deleted or anonymised. We use reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect information, including HTTPS on the Website, but no method of transmission or storage over the internet is completely secure.
8. Your rights and choices
Depending on where you live (for example under the GDPR, UK GDPR or California's CCPA/CPRA), you may have the right to access the personal information we hold about you, ask us to correct or delete it, object to or restrict certain processing, withdraw consent, and request a copy of your data. We do not discriminate against anyone for exercising these rights.
To make a request, contact us using the details in Section 11. We may need to verify your identity before acting on a request, and we will respond within a reasonable time.
9. Children's privacy
The Website and our service are not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us and we will delete it.
10. Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in our practices, technology or the law. The "Last updated" date at the top shows when it was last revised. Continued use of the Website after an update means you accept the revised policy.
